Listed are some frequently asked questions and answers for the Texas Dream Center.

How long is this program?

The program is a 1-year, on-campus rehabilitation center with a 6-month after care program. The full year is spent living at the center. Each guest has his own bedroom that includes a half-bath. We do not offer a 30-day program. Guests who have been admitted must agree to the full year.

How do I get accepted into the program?

The process begins by filling out the application on this website under the "Application" tab. 

Once the application as been submitted, we will review the application and call you at the number provided on the application. We will also complete a background check based on the information provided.

How much does it cost?

The program cost the center $900.00 a month per guest. A payment plan can be worked out. 

Do you take any form of insurance?

No, we do not take any form of insurance.

Can I make phone calls and see my family?

After 1-month guest are allowed 2 ten-minute calls a week. After 2 months, a weekend furlough is allowed from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. Furloughs must be requested in writing a week in advance and may be taken each month after the first 2 months have been completed. All phone calls and visits are based on merit and may be denied based on the discretion of the staff.

What do I bring to the program?

Guest will need to bring clothes for class, work, and church. Closed toe shoes are required. (NO flip-flops, sleeveless shirts, tank tops or loungewear may be worn outside of the guest’s room)  Guests need to bring their own bedding, towels, and laundry detergent. A 3 months supply of toiletries is needed, such as soap, shampoo, cleaning items for your room, shaving cream, razors, grooming products, and toilet paper. A plastic storage container with a lid is required for any snacks kept in the room.


Radios are allowed in the individuals room as long as it is set on a Christian station or playing a Christian CD.


Guests may also bring personal items such as pictures to decorate their rooms. 

Can I work while in the program?

After two months, part time work with an approved employer is allowed at the discretion of the Dream Center staff. After nine months, guests move to our transition hall where they begin working full time and paying rent at a reduced rate to the center. Classes are still required during these final months as well as routine drug, alcohol, and nicotine testing. Working is a privilege that can be revoked if the guest is not meeting the requirements of the program. 

Can I smoke?

Guests who smoke are given one month to taper off of tobacco using nicotine gum or patches. The guest must provide his own tapering supplies during intake. At no time are cigarettes or any other type of tobacco product allowed. 

A prescription to taper off of tabacco is also accepted if the client provides it. 

Can I take my medication at the center?

Guests are allowed to take prescribed medication during scheduled medication times. We do not allow any narcotic medications. Medical needs and requirements are the guest’s responsibility. Medical visits and prescription cost are not provided by the Texas Dream Center.
